Loss of Data: Your data may be damaged or, at worst, deleted as a result of the process or repair. CPS computer services will make their best to keep the integrity of the data on your system. Despite this, CPS is not responsible for the loss of any data which may happen while performing work on your machine. You may request a data backup during service under the terms and conditions below.
Data Backup: For the state price, CPS will endeavor to backup the files on your computer to an external medium. Although every struggle to verify that the files are properly copied, we cannot guarantee any backup. CPS is not responsible for damaged, incomplete, or missing files.
Ownership and Authority:
You must confirm ownership of any and all software which is to be installed or reinstalled on your computer.Moreover, you must present the original software media and any authentic activation keys. Also,CPB supposes that you own all equipment checked in or are authorized to make decisions related to the service of that equipment.
Total Cost of Repair: CPS is in charge of providing a price estimate upon check-in. The quote is good for a period of seven days, since part costs and availability constantly change. Should costs of repair exceed the pricing estimate, CPS will struggle to contact you for approval before the repairs. Part costs are non-refundable after approval. If the part is faulty, it will be replaced for you under our standard limited warranty below
Payment and Insurance Work: Payment for initial labor charges is due at check-in. All payment for unpaid parts, labor and other costs is made after completion of work. This includes work which is covered by insurance. You are solely liable for remitting payment to CPS and for all communications with your insurance provider.
Manufacturer Warranties: You must verify that you are informed about authorizing CPS to work on your computer may invalidate the manufacturer's warranty. Also, while any cautions will be taken by CPS to be aware of warranty conditions, you are responsible for knowing and understanding what warranties are included on your PC. Parts and labor on a system that is later discovered to have been covered by a manufacturer’s warranty is non-refundable.
Liability: The liability of CPS for damages to your computer is limited to any damage caused by our negligent acts or omissions as determined by our company. The cost covered is limited to the total price of the repairs performed by CPS. That certain repairs may damage software and or data installed on your computer, which may require the installation of your operating system, programs and data.
Impact of Upgrades: Please be aware that comprehending the impact of upgrades to the operating system, applications and software is in your responsibility. Such upgrades can result in incompatibilities and the possible loss of data.
As computer hardware and software work together,incompatibilities may not be discovered until a later date. You are solely responsible for contacting the manufacturer of your software and hardware for compatibility issues before upgrading.
Abandoned Property: If you are contacted regarding the completion of work or a decision on ordering any parts for your computer and you do not reply within sixty days, your property will be considered abandoned.CPS will remove any parts that it has provided in an abandoned system and recycle the system. Anything will be made to contact you by phone, email and certified letter in this event.
Unpaid Labor: If any labor is unpaid and the property unclaimed 90 days after you are contacted regarding the completion of service, CPS can and will presume ownership of the property for the purposes of securing the value of the services and materials provided.
You will be asked to sign this documentation prior to and work being carried out, to state that you affirm that the above information is true and correct to the best of your knowledge, and give permission for an CPS technician to remove the aforementioned equipment from your place of work/residence to carry out agreed works. The length of time for repair cannot be predicted, and as such, an estimated timescale will be discussed with you whilst carrying out any work on the computer. Payment is required in full upon completion of agreed work before equipment can be released.
